Before we get into this one, can we pray? This chapter isn't the most glamorous of topics and we often times shrink of doing it & receiving it. 

"Father I come to you in the precious name of Jesus, I thank you for this opportunity to read your word and grow in a new area this week and that my new friends will grow too. 

I ask you to help us hear the words of your holy Scripture today. I ask that the blinders and scales be removed and we truly hear the message of truth tempered with love. Please prepare our hearts and open our minds to receive our portion today.

In Jesus' Holy name we ask theses things...
AMEN!!"

One of my younger sisters was heavy on my heart as she struggles through some life changing situations. Actually she isn't struggling, 

the rest of the family is, and right, wrong or indifferent she is my sister and 

we all love her and support her.

Wow, what a statement! Originally I purchased this study nearly 10 years ago in hopes of sharing this study with a group of ladies I went to church with. Truthfully I was in no shape or form to even attempt to read the first the chapter. (Funny how after all those years of holding on to this study, the moment is now...LET'S GROW TOGETHER!)

Recently I was struggling with some responses I have been getting from close relationships of mine. I have struggled my whole life with this horrible guilt over times people are upset with my actions or just plain don't like me. I know isn't it shocking when someone doesn't like you.

                                           SHUT-UP AND PRAY


I was having a discussion with my husband today like any other day. We were going back and forth on the politics of life and church and state and so on and so on. It's easy to just talk about these things or form a complaint, but it changes nothing!! All of a sudden I heard a booming thought in my mind, which i knew was the Holy Spirit....".Just pray"...... Really?  Could it be that simple? Then the scriptures came flooding through...you know the ones, like when Jesus turned the tables over in the temple and said

• And He said to them, "It is written, 'MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER '; but you are making it a ROBBERS' DEN." Matthew 28:13

• Isaiah 56:7..Even those I will bring to My holy mountain And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar ; For my house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples."

 

God Will Even Cause Our Disappointments to Bless Us

I have been here so many times before, I have a vision of how something is supposed to run, it goes so smoothly in my mind....

THEN SOMETHING HAPPENS

AND MESSES IT ALL UP!!!!!!!!!!!

I take a deep breathe and remember nothing happens that "messes" GOD's plans up,  

He will even cause our disappointments to bless us!

Ughh, we have all been there, that time you struggled with something that felt so humungous, you thought your whole life was going to swallowed up in it. 

Then one day while you were struggling with the "this and that" and the "What not and How Fors" you just DID IT!

You have a decision and POOF! That didn't seem so overwhelming once you were on...

WHAT AM I HERE FOR?

As I sit here inside my head, I can hear the hustle and bustle of a busy day dissipating. So much to do and so little time to do it in. 

• Why do we bother doing half the things we think are necessary to live in this life? 
• Do we really need to spend hours and hours at the gym? 
• Or shopping at the mall.

OF BEING AND HAVING!

As I watch my 4 year old girl play with her friends, I remember being the same way- we all loved being a part of a group of friends who made us feel special. 

Then we grew up, we got busy, yet the need for friendship is as strong & Real now as it was for us all then.

We need other women:

• Who will be with us in our everyday lives, to share our dreams & hopes
• Give us feedback
• Laughing with us
• Enjoying each other presence
• Or someone to cry with us 

WOMEN JUST LIKE ME...

To think this all started with a vision of uniting women of all faiths in the common bond of our Love of the Lord Jesus Christ. Celebrating the freedom we have in that love to draw others to that sweet freedom while helping to set the captives free...
